Liga, Match Previews, SociaLiga Season 5

The fun and exciting ALATSociaLiga Football League is back after what I consider a long break with matchday 5 in focus for everyone involved.

For those of you yet to make up their minds on what to do with their weekend, here are 5 SOLID reasons why you must be at the event on Saturday.

1) ALAT’s Fun And Giveaways

I am very sure many don’t know this but our title partners for the football league, the most reliable, simple and convenient bank, ALAT By Wema have fun activities lined up for you and your kids, for those who have them.

Apart from the football matches, you could win different prizes like the world famous QUEEN OF SPORTS, Suo, just by playing video games, cards and being a part of the ALAT side attractions on the day.

It’s an incredible experience you must indulge in, at least let the young ones come have fun with their friends in a very conducive, secured and friendly atmosphere.

2) Vendors! Vendors!! Vendors!!! Are Back!!!

Yes, you read that right – after four match days without them, Vendors will make a return to SociaLiga and you know what that MEINS really!!

Once again, the return of vendors to the SociaLiga event is courtesy the one reliable and simple bank you can trust, our lovely partner ALAT – dem no dey carry last!

A couple of the vendors who will be present at the Nitel Ground, Cappa, Lagos this Saturday includes (but not limited to) Atarah Beauty, Eni Crunchy Delight (yummy!), Tedam Ventures (You must eat food), and Chrisdam Services (for lovers of yummy parfait).

3) It’s Super Saturday Again! Big Games Day!

The third reason why you must be at the ALATSociaLiga Match Day 5 this weekend is the number of big matches lined up for Saturday.

While defending champions of the men’s division Saints FC will have a day off as they watch from the stands as others battle themselves, the biggest game sees league leaders 96Champions face Atlantic Business FC in the second game of the day.

What a game this will be at Cappa, I mean, how exciting is that really? The Red Aces are the only team yet to drop a point this season after 4 wins in 4, but in the Epe Boys, they take on a capable opponent who can down any opposition on their day.

Atlantic sit second on the table with 7 points from a possible 12 and remain one of the best coached sides in the division. But can the Pepper Dem Gang do what no other team has been able to do, take points off the Aces this season?

We can’t wait to find out, neither should you!

In the women’s division, I can tell you for free that we have two big games – Saints Ladies host Dannaz Ladies, with defending champions Alimosho Ladies up against newbies Raineri Ladies.

4) Double Entertainment In The Women’s Liga

For the very first time this season the ALATSociaLiga will see all four women’s teams in action and we are all excited by the imminent entertainment.

The 2021 season has been incredible in the women’s Liga and there is no gain saying that it has produced the most excitement and entertainment for spectators at Cappa.

First game of the day in this category will see former champions Saints FC and the winless Dannaz Ladies go head to head before defending champions Alimosho Ladies lock horns with Raineri Ladies in what would be an explosive match.

Saints Ladies got off to a good start in their opener on matchday 3 when they held Raineri Ladies to a goalless draw and will fancy their chances against the Cedars (Dannaz Ladies) who have lost 2 and drawn one of their opening three matches so far.

It is a must-win match for the Cedars as they cannot afford to drop any more points at this stage of the competition and should be buoyed by the fact the Saints have never beaten them in the SociaLiga.

Meanwhile, the other game between Raineri Ladies and champions Alimosho Ladies will be a replay of the match day 2 encounter when both sides played out a 1-1 draw.

Alimosho, the Herd, make a return to the ALATSociaLiga after missing out on the last two match day’s and in Raineri Ladies, they face a now-familiar opponent after that draw on Matchday 2.

If you missed that encounter between the two, then, this is your chance to make amends, your chance to watch the likes of Franca, Zulfah, Zara, Saidat, Simi, Moyo and Subomi entertain you like never before at this level.

5) You Have No Excuse To Miss Matchday 5!

Let’s be serious and honest here, you have no reason to miss matchday 5 this Saturday and you know it too. It’s a perfect setting to even be on a unique date with that special person this weekend in a fun and friendly environment put together by the trusted ALAT and SociaLiga.

Matchday 5 will also see three other superb matches at the Digital Bridge Institute, Nitel Ground, Cappa, Lagos on Saturday.

Kicking off proceedings is another big clash, this time, it’s Dannaz FC against Raineri FC.

The Cedars will look to return to winning ways after dropping two points the last time on Matchday 4. For their opponents, Raineri, they would hope to bounce back from that narrow defeat to defending champions Saints when they take to the pitch.

Alimosho FC have their hands full against the only other unbeaten side left Egba City in the 5th match of the day, while the final game will see two teams who are no strangers to each other, Citizens and All Black draw the curtains.

You no get excuse – Saturdays are for football and at ALATSociaLiga, all we do is serve fun and entertainment. Be there!
