World Football

We all look forward to a weekend of football not just because every fan gets to watch his or her favourite team but the entertaining banter that follows thereafter. This past weekend was as entertaining as ever except of course you are a fan of Chelsea, Arsenal, or even both (yes, we know some of you support two clubs).

Both London clubs suffered losses while in Italy, Penaldo struck again as Juventus came from behind to salvage a point in a 2-2 draw at home to Atalanta in the Serie A.

However, most of the ‘dub’ posts this weekend came after the match between Sheffield United and Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League.

Chelsea were embarrassed 3-0 by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday as the Blades left their Champions League dream hanging on a thread.

A David McGoldrick brace and another goal by Oliver McBurnie for the Blades ensured the game at Bramall provided the best viewing for football fans.

That result provided premium entertainment for most football fans who did not hold back as they took to social media to unleash some wonderful banter.

We have selected some of the darkest ones and you will get to decide which is the “Massive Dub” of the weekend.

First up, remember Chelsea released their new kit and shirt sponsor two weeks ago? Great, it has been a massive hit since then.

This football fan has advice for Chelsea’s new signings, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech ahead of their Europa Pilgrimage to Galilee next season.

While he was on the pitch for just 12 minutes as a second half substitute on Saturday, it does appear Chelsea’s young midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is better suited to modelling than football (no be we talk am o).

Have you ever imagined any footballer as a ballerina? Well, there is always a first time.

Now, which of these is your favourite dub of the weekend?
