Matchday six (6) in the Bet9jaSociaLiga is set to be quite an action-packed one with the match between Raineri and Dannaz football club the biggest of six matches.

The day’s activities kickoff when the Ghosts (Raineri) host defending champions, Dannaz, in the big early kickoff in the Men’s Liga at the Children’s International School, Lekki Phase One.

Separated by just a point on the league table, the clash will be the first between the two Bet9jaSociaLiga teams, who currently sit second and third respectively on the log.

It’s a game you cannot afford to miss with both teams set to line up two of the highest scorers from last and this season in Olisemeka Esumeh and Joshua Obakimi.

Olisemeka and Obakimi have scored 21 goals combined since season three (3), with nine (9) of those (Oliseh, 5 and Obakimi, 4) scored this season.

In the remaining three (3) games in the Men’s Liga, Alimosho football club will be looking to improve their playoff chances when they host the All Black football club.

With the confidence of the Black Panthers (All Black) in its lowest ebb at the moment, the Herds (Alimosho) would hope to take advantage of that given they will also be the fresher of the two having not kicked a ball since SociaLigaMD4.

In the third match of the day, league leaders, Saints football club, will entertain the unbeaten Royals Football Club.

Saints have looked rejuvenated of late which has seen them climb to the top of the log but against the stubborn-to-breakdown Royals, their title credentials this season will face more scrutiny.

The final game in the men’s Liga sees the Cubs trade tackles with Citizens in a battle to see who cements that final playoff place.

This should be another interesting tie to watch as both teams are currently locked on seven (7) points with just goal difference separating them.

Top two exchange blows in Women's Liga

Elsewhere in the Bet9jaSociaLiga, in the Women’s Liga, as (it) has become something of a norm, we have another big game with table toppers, Dannaz Ladies, taking on their closest challengers this campaign, Alimosho Ladies, AFCL.

When the two top sides in the Women’s angle go head to head at CIS, with just two points between them, Dannaz will look to seal their place in the final with a win while Alimosho would hope to ensure that at least this goes right down to the wire.

In the second tie, defending Women’s Champions, Knights Ladies, play host to perennial and fierce rivals, Saints Ladies, in a match both sides cannot afford to lose.

A place in the playoff is very much alive for either, and MD6 offers a great opportunity to take a giant step towards booking a place despite their respective poor performances so far this season.
