Our social media is constantly filled with SociaLiga fans, coaches, players and ex –players arguing about who the best striker/defender/goalkeeper is in SociaLiga history. So we decided to step in and run the official social media poll where all the members of our community can stop arguing and vote instead! The nominees for each category were determined by an impartial council of elders.

The 2019 playoff is finally upon us, we are down to just six teams – four from the Men’s Liga and two from the Women’s. It’s been an incredible journey so far in the Bet9jaSociaLiga, after an exciting first phase, we are set to separate the men from the boys, women from the girls and most importantly, contenders from pretenders.
Football is like life for me
Some of the highest highs and lowest lows in my life are because of football. For example, one of my all-time treasured memories is captaining my school team to victory in the Nigerian Medical Student Association (NIMSA) games. On the flip side, one of my least favourite times was when I had a knee injury that kept me out of the pitch for almost a year.
2018 season is one that anyone associated with the Saints Football Club would give an arm and a leg to never remember as far as Bet9jaSociaLiga is concerned. As the defending champions last year, the Saints Army flattered to deceive as they fell like a pack of cards, with newbies, Dannaz Football Club, putting an end to their two-year dominance and hegemony.
Dannaz FC forward, Joshua Obakimi, and Olisemeka Esumeh of the Raineri Ghosts are currently in a rat race for who will win the Bet9jaSociaLiga top scorer award.
