Timeline For All Sexual Assault Allegations in 2020

2020 has been a strange year for a lot of crazy reasons but there is one significant positive that has come out of the year. There is a wave on social media of survivors of sexual abuse publicly calling out their abusers no matter how powerful or influential they may be. It began with the outing of Biodun Fatoyinbo, a famous Abuja-based preacher by Busola Dakolo as an abuser in late 2019 and has carried over to in the Nigerian entertainment and tech industries.

Dbanj Accused Of Rape By Seyitan Babatayo

It all began when the alleged victim’s friend, Benjamin Ese, in a Twitter thread in early June told the story of how D’banj allegedly raped Miss Seyitan Babatayo at a hotel two years ago – in December 2018. One month after Ese’s tweets, Seyitan came out publicly to present herself as the lady who was allegedly raped by D’Banj in December 2018.

Kendall Ananyi : Tizeti suspends CEO Kendall Ananyi over sexual harassment allegations.

Afterward Kelechi Udoagwu’s accusation earlier this month, Tizeti promised to investigate the allegations.

According to, on Sunday, June 7, 2020, the company announced that it has asked Ananyi to step down from the role of CEO while an independent investigation continues apace. Patricia Aiyedun and Ifeanyi Okonkwo will assume the role of interim co-CEOs “effective immediately.”.

According to Princess, in a now-viral tweet, alleged that Peruzzi raped her in 2012, while he was dating her friend. She narrated that the singer took advantage of her when she visited his home with her friend who was his girlfriend at the time. She revealed this on Twitter on Wednesday.

This is a second accusation in 2020 after a London based singer Daffy Blanco accused Perruzi of defrauding and sexually molesting her in late January of 2020

Kendall Ananyi (Tizeti) accused by Kelechi Udoagwu

In early June 2020, Kendall Ananyi who co-founded Tizeti and, was accused of sexual harassment and molestation by Kelechi Udoagwu, a young woman he was reportedly mentoring.

Ananyi released a brief statement on Twitter denying the allegation. He has been suspended from his role and Tizeti had commissioned an investigation to look into the allegation.

April 2020 : Bollylomo

In late April 2020, Nollywood actor Gbolahan Olatunde better known as Bollylomo was called out on social media as a rapist and sexual abuser of underage girls. His accuser tweeted screenshots of several ladies recounting their alleged experiences with Bollylomo and how he sexually assaulted them. Bollylomo has described the accusations as being false.

Brymo – Late April 2020

In late April 2020, a social media user accused Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, of sexual assault during a visit to his house. According to the social media post, the victim had gone on a visit to the singer’s house with her friend, while there Brymo forced himself on the victim because “he was already horny and had to be satisfied”. He also threatened to rape her friend as well. Check out the full story below

Jan 30 | 01:42 : Peruzzi accused of defrauding and sexually assaulting a London based singer

The United Kingdom-based singer, Daffy Blanco, took to her Instagram page on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, where she called out Peruzzi for defrauding her to the tune of N15M and trying to have his way with her. She went on to share audio recordings of Peruzzi trying to console her. She finally concluded that she would be taking Peruzzi to court for defrauding her. It is not clear if she would be adding the sexual assault claims to the suit.
