Back by popular demand the SociaLympics proudly sponsored by ALATbyWema took place on October 27th at the Childrens International School Lekki. After much activity and excellent show of team spirit and sportsmanship Raineri Ghost FC partnered by TRJ Company emerged the victors of the day with a whopping 16 medals to their name. In close second was Saints FC partnered with Premium Souvenirs. Other teams in participation were Citizens FC, Knights FC, Team ALAT and The SociaLiga foundation who were al sponsored by Ofada Boy, Filmhouse cinemas , ALAT and Cycled Limited respectively
The event kicked off by 10am to a packed house who were on hand to cheer on their friends and family as the competed across various sport disciplines such as Chess, Scrabble, Athletics and many more. The day also played host to the All-star game which was hotly contested between the Island and Mainland Conference. At the end of the 90 minutes the Mainland conference winners ran out 4-2 winners much to the satisfaction of the crowd who were on the edge of their seats from start to finish.Â
It wasn’t just a day for sports as vendors and other fun activities were held throughout the day to keep the crowd entertained with vendors such as Abebi organics, Grill Brothers and many others made an appearance.
