Thesocialiga.com recaps how the Herd booked their final ticket at the Legacy Pitch inside the National Stadium in Surulere while it was the end of the road for former champions, Saints Ladies.

Alimosho Ladies have truly dominated the Women’s Liga this season having booked a ticket to the final without losing a game.
The Herd saw off competition from former champions, Saints Ladies, on the last day of the regular season to pick the sole ticket for the final in December thanks to two second half goals from Rasheedat and Sandra Ejim.
The scoreline really flattered Saints, as Alimosho dominated the game from start to finish and created so many chances to have made it a demolition.
Saints also had their goalkeeper to thank, Uju Angel was outstanding in between the sticks for the Saints as she pulled off a couple of miraculous saves to keep the rampaging Herd at bay.
After a goalless opening half of the game, no thanks to Alimosho’s wastefulness and Angel’s brilliant goalkeeping, the match finally came to life when Herd had their noses in front.

A deserved goal for Alimosho finally arrived deep into the second half courtesy of Rasheedat, before Ejim aka Ndombele sealed the win with a second a few minutes later.
It was not only a deserved win for the Herd, but an expected one as the reached the final without losing a game.
For Saints Ladies, surely they will be happy that their disappointing season has finally come to an end, meaning it’s time to go back to the drawing board but this time with a better artist and tools ahead of next season.
Woman of the match: Uju Angel

Oh, yes! That is how best to describe the first phase of the season for holders, Knights Ladies, who have been anything but champions so far in the 2019 Bet9jaSociaLiga.
The Knights lost 0-1 to debutants Dannaz Ladies on SociaLigaMD8 but still booked a place in the playoffs alongside their conquerors on the day, Dannaz.
Former Knights Ladies star and their heroin in the 2018 final, Anita proved to be the difference between the two sides on SociaLigaMD8 after scoring the decisive winner late in the second half.
This particular encounter was one of few chances, though the Cedars did dominate possession as they always do but met a very resilient Knights defence.

However, the SociaLiga newbies, Dannaz found a way to breach their resolve when new signing and ex-Knights, Anita finally broke the deadlock following a very good team move.
The Cedars held on for the win to set up another potential tight battle between the sides but this time in the playoffs to determine who will lock horns with Alimosho Ladies in the final at the Christmas festival later this year.
