After that defeat to Raineri in their season opener, the Herds needed something positive against the Haus but met a bulwark from the new side who were inspired by the man of the match, defender, Suleiman.

Alimosho dominated the game from start to finish but the Blak’s had Suleiman to thank after a couple of outstanding match-saving tackles including a superb goal-line headed clearance in the first half.

At the end, a share of the spoils for both teams, Alimosho’s first point of the season while the result was Blak’s second consecutive barren draw.

Raineri Ladies 1-1 Alimosho Ladies: Champions Survive Major Scare From Ghosts

Defending champions of the women’s division, Alimosho Ladies survived a major scare on Saturday after they were given a run for their money by debutants Raineri Ladies.

In fact, the newbies scored first and led for most part of the game thanks to a well-taken strike in the first half by attacking midfielder Chineye.

But the dominant champions found the elusive equaliser later in the second after the brilliant Franca set up skipper Subomi Ogundele to tuck home and level the scores at 1-1.

Despite their best efforts to find a winner, with some resistance from woman of the match, Raineir’s defensive midfielder Judith aka Kante, Alimosho, who are yet to lose a game since the start of last season, heaved a huge sigh of relief as they settled for a point at the end.

Both teams were brilliant on the day as they entertained fans at the stadium and those watching from outside.

Muyiwa put Atlantic in the driver’s seat with his first-half strike before he doubled their advantage in the second half.

Their dominant display left nobody in doubt when Suleimon added a third goal to seal the win and all three points.

A perfect response to their manager’s disappointment in the previous match against fellow debutantes Blak Haus, a match the God’s Own Team did everything but failed to score a goal.

The result means they have now picked up four (4) points from a possible six (6), keeping clean sheets in both matches.
