Lights, Camera, Action!! The SociaLiga Creatives Thrilled The Crowd At Gokada SociaLympics 2019

The creatives at SociaLympics 2019 brought their A game and wowed the crowd with their top-notch performances.

From the beautiful dancer who thrilled the crowd with both contemporary dance steps & hot legwork; to the guitarist who had everyone clapping & singing along to their soothing duet; the dancehall artiste who got everyone hyped with his energetic performance, it is safe to say the attendees had a swell time at SociaLympics 2019.

That’s not all, the icing on the cake is creatives had a private, heartfelt session with the celebrity guest artiste, Teni The Entertainer, courtesy of our wonderful partner, ALAT by Wema, just before she went on to win 4 major awards at the just concluded Headies.

Adaora Momah

Professionally known as Addie, is a British influenced Nigerian Neo Soul singer and songwriter. She started recording music at age 11 in her church band and at 17, she was signed to a record label in the United Kingdom. She later left and participated in the Open Mic UK in 2014, she made it to the Semi-finals.

A year later in 2015, she got chosen to represent Nigeria in the Muwofo Music World cup and Won first place. Her passion is to create beautiful, inspiring, fun soulful Afro music that will put a smile on everyone’s face.

She further talked about her experience at SociaLympics with Teni

“SociaLympics was amazing! First watching all the game was exciting and it was good to see people bond together over sports. My Experience with Teni was really awesome, she is a bundle of joy! she gave us good advice especially about saving. she reminded me that all you really need to do is stay true to your craft. I remember she said she had not done any major collaborations and it hit me, she was right, all she was doing was dishing out good music

MIMI

Singer, songwriter and performer, MIMI, burst on to the scene in December 2016 securing her position as North Cyprus’ best African female artist with her remix of Reekado Banks’ hit single “Problem” which was a massive hit and gained her recognition and a solid fan base.

She also went ahead to release 3 official singles – In my Feels (2017), Unconditional (January, 2018) and Vibe (April, 2018). Her Debut EP “Heart on My Sleeve” was released in September 2018 and it’s doing great numbers across all digital platforms. She has opened shows for top African artists in North Cyprus including Mr Eazi, Runtown, Falz, Vanessa Mdee, Lil Kesh and LAX.

She is also a plus size model and an actor.

REGGIE

Reggie! aka ‘Sabi Boy’ is a Nigerian, Rap & Afro-fusion Recording & Performing Artiste. He put out his debut project “City of Gold” in 2017 & decided to take the professional route with the music. He is a graduate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology Ghana, where he studied Mechanical Engineering but he has always been passionate about music. His sound is the perfect blend of Rap, Afro-Pop and Reggae fusion, heavily submerged in a well-balanced variation of Nigerian-Ghanaian music with an urban feel to it. He has worked with top artistes & producers in both Nigeria & Ghana.

He put out his overly anticipated sophomore project “Popular Demand” in 2018 which was a success with rave reviews Also, he started the Ant-Wey Trend in 2019, which was among the top 10 trending topics on both Ghanaian and Nigerian Twitter, garnering over 100,000 impressions. The original idea was simple; juxtapose English words ending in the suffix ‘ant’ with creatively funny Pidgin interpretations, using an ant (the insect) as the subject. He decided to drop an Ant Wey Inspired Song called “Ant-Man” which showed his versatility through his witty punchlines and rugged flow, spitting some cool thrill lines to further prove his capability in the hip-hop game.

DENIKE

DENIKE is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She started music professionally in 2018 after visiting a friend who is a producer and he heard her sing. She recorded a song with her that day and got signed to a record label late 2018 after they heard the song she previously recorded. She released her first official single in April 2019 titled “EJIKA” and the acceptance and reception has been overwhelming.

Speaking on her experience with Teni:

“My experience with Teni was special to me cos she is one of the female artistes I really like and I will love to work with her pretty soon.”

Adewale Temilade Wuraola

Temilade is a Dancer & Content Creator who loves music with dancing being her favourite thing to do. She decided to take it up as a career in 2018. Although she started posting dance videos online since 2017, she didn’t really believe in herself until 2018. Her first live performance was at the first edition of Green Camp, 2017.The feedback was amazing and it gave her the confidence to do more. She has performed at shows in and out of Lagos and has worked with a few artistes. Her dream is not only to a successful professional dancer, but to also motivate dancers especially in Nigeria. To show them that being a dancer in Nigeria isn’t a degrading job and you don’t necessarily have to have a “white collar” job to be successful. You can turn your hobby into a profession and thrive!

She recently emerged the winner of #InfinixHot8Challenge 2019.

“My experience at the SociaLympics with Teni was amazing. I was given the platform to network and everyone loved my performance. Teni told me to always believe in myself and keep pushing. One thing I held on to was “Always save” because your career is your business.”
