Are you having a difficult time deciding on the Manchester assets to bring in or who to pick as your captain for GW2? Not to worry, SociaLigaFPL has your back.
GW 1 winner, Mickey FC has answered some pressing questions that will surely help SociaLigaFPL managers make better and easier decisions.
Michael’s Mickey FC earned an impressive 103 points to emerge as the first winner of the SociaLigaFPL this season. The boss had Mo Salah and Jamie Vardy to thank for that as both players accounted for 46 of those points.
This week, Michael previews what he has described as a ‘difficult’ game week given the return of the Manchester teams and their valuable assets.
Bruno Fernandes [£10.5m] or Kelvin de Bruyne [£11.5m] ?
After a no-show from the Manchester teams the last game week, this is one decision SociaLigaFPL managers will be faced with for GW 2 especially given the potential these two players have.
Speaking on this last week, former SociaLigaFPL champion El Granador said;
“If KDB becomes the consistent penalty taker for Man City, I will take him. Otherwise, I will go with Bruno because I believe he will give more points per value.”
While El Granador and Mickey FC share the same sentiment – that penalties make Bruno more appealing, Mickeys adds that the return of both players and picking between them remains indeed a struggle which makes this GW a very difficult one.
“Yeah…that’s the most confusing part,” Mickey FC manager, Michael said.
“Both Manchester clubs weren’t in game week 1 so it’s gonna be hard to pick between the likes of KDB, Bruno, Sterling, and the rest.”
“City face Wolves while United are at home to Palace, I’ll want to pick Kdb over Bruno but you know Bruno has penalty duties and also gets involved in United goals a lot too. That’s why a part of me will pick Bruno.”
“As I said it’s confusing. They are both great players, but what I think should be the decider then is their fixtures and United have the easier one.”
Salah [£12.0m] or Aubameyang [£12.0] Vardy [£10.0m]?
Despite a very productive and rewarding outing for his surprisingly low owners in GW 1, Mickey says managers should play it safe this weekend with their captain picks by avoiding Liverpool’s Salah.
The hat-trick hero had the most shots (9), 8 of which were in the box, and earned 40 points more than any player from GW 1. But with a game against Chelsea at the Bridge, handing the Egyptian the armband will be too risky, Mike says.
“Last week, I struggled between [Jamie] Vardy and Salah but eventually went for Vardy because I felt he had an easier opponent and should get the goals. Salah also did eventually score the goals which was okay for me as I had both players.”
“But for this GW, it depends on the players on your FPL team. I really won’t pick Salah this time because he’s facing Chelsea. He might perform and score a goal but I’ll need someone that will give me 2 goals and more.”
“So it’d be between Aubameyang and Vardy again. There’s also the big question of [Sadio] Mane, who is valued at £11.9m but Vardy and Auba face Burnley and Westham respectively.”
In terms of their stats, the trio of Salah, Aubameyang, and Vardy rewarded their managers with goals in GW 1 but the latter two have been backed to repeat that in GW 2 especially Arsenal’s captain, Auba.
Auba faces a West Ham team that has kept just one clean sheet in their last 19 Premier League matches, while for Vardy when Leicester City are at home, he is the man you need.
Valued at just £10.0m, Vardy’s 12 goals at the King Power last season was eight more than any player for the Foxes at home.
