Female Liga wakes up, Ghosts walkout and braces

The SociaLigaMD6 produced a lot of fireworks and we saw plenty of goals fly in from different angles on a largely eventful day at CIS. So, surely, it is time to take a cursory look at what we learned from that entertainment served at matchday six (6) in the Bet9jaSociaLiga.

The female Liga has finally woken up.

The women's division in the Bet9jaSociaLiga is finally beginning to show itself by entertaining Liga fans after what has been truly a poor showing (output in terms of goals) so far from our ladies.

From five goals scored in six matches in the opening three matchdays, the floodgates of goals seem to have been opened with 13 goals netted in just four games in the last two matchdays.

MD5 witnessed six goals, Dannaz Ladies the top scorers that day with four goals, while on MD6, Alimosho Ladies led others with three goals out of seven scored in two matches.

A massive improvement from our ladies, and we can only hope for more of the same from them.

Alimosho Ladies impregnate Dannaz Ladies

For the four matchdays, debutants, Dannaz Ladies, were untouchable as the only team in both Bet9jaSociaLiga division yet to concede a goal this season.

But that record came crashing as the hitherto impregnable Cedars defense finally capitulated when 2018 finalists, Alimosho not only undressed but gave them belle with three unreplied goals.

A comprehensive victory for the Herd, who also replaced Dannaz at the top of the table as the new leaders and are now the only side yet to taste defeat this season in the female Liga.

Everything na double, double as goals rained in braces

Yes o! It was the case at CIS! MD6 equaled MD5 in the total number of goals scored, 22 in six matches. But of these goals, four players across both divisions were responsible for 36.36% of them.

In the Female Liga, Emebie Nwabueze of Saints Ladies, Knights Ladies' Ayo Okotcha aka Slicky, with Edgar of the Royals and Gbenga Balogun, Dannaz, representing the Male Liga.

The missed SociaLigaMD6 AfterParty

Of course, it was always going to be mentioned as we conclude on a very light note.

Report reaching us says that some people missed the MD6 after party which turned out to be a full-time blast.

"The SociaLigaAfterParty was dope and lit. The DJ and people really danced, " an insider who attended said.

thesocialiga.com has learnt that those people who missed it have promised never to repeat the mistake again.
