One thing the EPL sure brings every season is the excitement and its fun thrilled feelings. As the season is concerned, only one team goes home with the big prize which makes their fan base have that bragging right at least till the end of the next season.

Now that the curtain is drawn on the league for the season, it’s about that time when the team’s management looks back on how they’ve faired in the concluded campaign. They sought to look out on how to improve areas they had issues within the team.

Fans are talking

For the big six teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, ManCity, ManUtd & Tottenham) there’s mostly going to be a lot of movement in and out the clubs in terms of transfer related activities once the summer transfer is officially opened. Every fan base has an opinion of where they largely believe their team’s needs actual reinforcement.

Having gathered some impressions on social media and from personal engagement through conversations, here are some key areas fans expects their club management to look in strengthening as the European transfer window has been officially opened:

Arsenal

With a new manager at the Emirates, there were few changes to the look of the squad but might yet be stronger with some new addition in some areas. It is a general feeling amongst the gunners’ fans that they have what looks like a weak defense line, and they really need to spend and get in a ‘Right Back’ and ‘Center Back’ with the ones they’ve got already. They might also need an additional ‘Right Wing’ or ‘Left Wing’ player to strengthen in their attack.

Chelsea

The Blues have had such a wavering season under new manager Sarri. The Italian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge has seen him initiated his playing style in the team, also adjusting few players in different roles. The ‘Sarri ball’ touted style of play has yet received criticism amongst different levels of the fan base, however they feel the team needs to be equipped in some areas to be successful in playing the Sarri ball next season.

Even though Chelsea faces an impending ban for the next two transfer windows, if overturned they have to spend on a ‘Striker’ which is one key position they really have been lacking as a team for the past few seasons. They’ve gotten in a winger in the January window in ‘Christian Pulisic’ but they might also need a creative ‘Attacking Midfield’ player which the blues fans feels will add quality to the manager’s system of play.

Liverpool

With such a fantastic season they’ve just had the Merseyside reds has shown consistency for the past two seasons even at the expense of them not getting their hands on the trophy at the end of both seasons. The team has such grown and adapted to their manager’s playing style, a relentless attacking play which doesn’t stop until the end of the game.

Every team needs depth to be able to compete strongly for the season, coupled with the number of games to be played in England. The reds have what looks like a balanced team as it is, but additions are also welcome to the fold. After losing Couthinho an ‘Attacking Midfielder’ last season, some fans have the impression adding a player with such capability in the team can further aide their surging attacking style of play.

Manchester City

The back to back champions of the EPL had such an interesting campaign but as the competition gets in its midseason phase, the team had injury issues with some of their key players but were able to cope due to some quality they also possess on the bench.

However with the quality they have in their ranks, it is expected they also add to their squad especially in the left side of their defense ‘Left Back’ where they missed ‘Benjamin Mendy’ for most part of the season also they need to buy a ‘Defensive Midfielder’ and add another ‘Center Back’ to replace the club’s captain ‘Vincent Kompany’ who is leaving the team, having spent 11years with the blues.

Manchester United

The Red Devils just concluded one of the poorest seasons in their history and has got heads rolling within the fan base. According to majority, they feel there’s need for a major overhaul during the summer transfer window.

United might need strengthening in almost all positions as regarded mostly by all. Areas such as ‘Right & Left Back’, ‘Center Back’, ‘Defensive Midfield’, ‘Right & Left Wing’, and a ‘Striker’. With this wish lists, it will take about 6 additions to the team and also some numbers of players leaving the Theatre of Dreams.

Tottenham Hotspur

Finishing 4th in the league, reaching the UCL final for the first time in their history and completing the building of their massive new stadium, completed a successful season for the north London team.

Spurs hasn’t been active in recent transfer windows, reasons being that most of their finances were rolled into the construction of their stadium. For a team who has barely recruited, they’ve done so well considering their current status.

With the stadium project now completed, they will be looking to do business in the summer transfer window so as to beef up their squad for the coming season. Positions such as in the ‘Midfield’ and attacking role ‘Right & Left Wing’ and an additional ‘Striker’ might need to be reinforced, so as to be able to compete with much stronger squad, in depth and quality
