Dannaz proved just too difficult as they overpowered their more illustrious challengers 4-0 with Ajoke Akinbo the obvious star on the one-sided victory.

Akinbo excellently led the lines for the Cedars, becoming the first (female) player to score a hat-trick this campaign and the second overall to do so in the Bet9jaSociaLiga.
The Cedars were home and dry at half time as Ajoke’s lethal finishing which saw her score a hat-trick, including a penalty, had them 3-0 ahead at half time.
Dannaz will add a fourth in the second half, Angela Mosindi joining in with her first goal of the season to make it 4-0.
They held on for the win which puts the Dayo Ogunaike led team two points clear of nearest challengers, Alimosho Ladies, and within touching distance of a place in the final with two games to go.

Saints hold Alimosho to get off the mark
Former champions, Saints Ladies, are off the mark for the season after holding hitherto highflyers Alimosho Ladies to a 1-1 draw.
In a match that for lack of a more suitable word was utterly dominated by the Herds, who should have won, the winless Saints have their Chi to thank for coming out unscathed.

With Alimosho looking to keep pace with leaders Dannaz who had won earlier, they started on the front foot and deservedly took the lead when Adeshola put them 1-0 up.
Despite creating the best chances to add to their lead, the Herds were quite profligate as they missed so many glaring opportunities.
They were made to pay for it, of course, as against the run of play Saints found themselves level with a touch of good fortune.
A goal-mouth scramble in the second half would work in Saints’ favour when Kehinde Ogunniyi, unfortunately, put the ball in the wrong net to level the game at 1-1.
Like our friend at Super Sports, Sawadinho, said when the Super Eagles found the winner against South Africa in the quarterfinals at the ongoing AFCON2019, ‘anyhow goal is a goal’.
Saints held on for a valuable point, their first of the season, while Alimosho were rightly disappointed with what’s clearly a case of dropped points not one gained.
