#aFewThings : UCL Edition : Messi Confirms GOAT Status

It was a wonderful night of football as two of four semifinal places in the UEFA Champions League, UCL, were confirmed on a Lionel Messi-ful Tuesday.

The SociaLiga’s aFewThings take a look at three major talking points from a pulsating evening in Camp Nou and Turin as Europe’s elite club competition nears a climax for the 2018/2019 season.

From Messi to Cristiano Ronaldo to Jose Mourinho stan and Manchester United fans trolling each other, it is a loaded package.

Messi Proves GOAT Status

This debate on who the greatest of all time is between Messi and Ronaldo is one that we can not wish away anytime soon.

Tuesday was another day to bring it up as both players had opportunities to stake further claims to the coveted title.

However, despite the two finding their names on the score sheets, it was the Wizard of Oz, Messi, who was anything but messi-iful.

He was one of the outstanding players on the night, proving once more that he speaks the language the beautiful round leather toy understands.

Zanku-ing and etigi-ing around United players all night, the nimble and sweet-footed Argentine caressed the ball as a masseur, leading Barca to the semifinal with a brace.

Meanwhile, in Turin, while his fiercest rival was showing anything but Messi in the Camp, Ronaldo was left dejected on the pitch as Ajax produced an enthralling performance to leave nobody in doubt why the Italians are called the Old Lady.

CR7 Suffers a First Defeat

We have a famous saying that there is always a first time for everything and last night proved to be the case for Ronaldo in the UCL.

Despite netting another UCL goal in a crucial knockout tie, and also his sixth in the last six outings against Ajax, Ronaldo’s tournament came to an end last night.

Ajax came, saw and conquered from a losing position against Ronaldo and his Juve side in Turin, with the Dutch giants becoming the first side ever to send CR7 packing in the quarterfinal stage of the UCL.

Manchester United fans Troll Manchester United

No, we are not kidding. There is confusion in the land and it is a Red Devil.

Following their easy humbling at Camp Nou, football fans around the world are not the only ones giving Manchester United a dress down, but also United fans [led by the Association of Jose Mourinho Fans].

United put in a creditable display in the first leg last week at Old Trafford, but it was a totally different case last night as two individual howlers and a blinder from Phillippe Coutinho ended their UCL season with a thrashing.

Thereafter, the banter and trolling were unleashed. Viewers discretion is advised for the images below!!!
